Hillman wins diving sectional
Shenandoah senior Kate Hillman scored 537.65 points to easily outdistance the opposition Monday at the weather-delayed New Palestine Sectional. Mount Vernon’s Grace Mooreland was second with 382.40 points.
The Raiders scored 30 points to finish tied with Hagerstown for eighth-place as a team. Mount Vernon won the team title with 275 points.
Shenandoah’s Amanda Thise finished fifth in the 100-yard freestyle and ninth in the 100-yard backstroke.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Pendleton Heights 54, Yorktown 44
Kellen Dunham led three Arabians in double figures with 17 points in a game delayed by weather last Friday. Nathan Hendershot added 16 for Pendleton Heights, and Kendall Waters finished with 10.
The Arabians (13-5 overall, 4-3 Hoosier Heritage Conference) host Fishers on Thursday.
