TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A Terre Haute man wanted on child pornography charges has been returned to the Vigo County Jail after he was mistakenly released.

The Tribune-Star and WTHI-TV report 38-year-old Chauncey Krantz was released from jail Friday due to a clerical error. Authorities say Krantz was released following an appearance in Terre Haute City Court on unrelated charges before he ever appeared in Vigo County court on charges of child exploitation.

Krantz was captured later as he was on his way to his attorney's office. A judge set bail at $150,000 cash.

Authorities allege Krantz shared photos of a 9-year-old girl over the Internet with people in Ohio, Illinois and Texas.
