INDIANAPOLIS — Four Mexican men are facing a May trial in Indianapolis on federal methamphetamine trafficking charges.
A federal grand jury last week indicted 31-year-old Rosalba Acevedo, 38-year-old Heriberto Ibanez Garcia, and Lenin Aguirre and Juan Castillo, whose ages were unknown. All four are being held in Marion County Jail pending a federal detention hearing.
The U.S. attorney's office says the men are charged with conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine.
If convicted, all four could face up to life in prison and be fined up to $4 million. Acevedo, Garcia and Aguirre could also face up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine for distributing methamphetamine.
