No injuries in I-69 car fire

Car catches fire near the 24-mile marker

ANDERSON – No one was injured Wednesday when a car caught fire on Interstate 69 near the 24-mile marker, according to Anderson Fire Department Capt. Mark Vandergrist.

Vandergrist said a female motorist was traveling toward her home in Fort Wayne when the car caught fire. Anderson firefighters put out the flame in about 15 minutes, he said.

An investigation will determine the cause of the fire, Vandergrist said.
