ANDERSON, Ind. — Indiana State Police have closed a section of northbound Interstate 69 after two semitrailers crashed and scattered debris across the highway.
The crash happened about 5 a.m. Thursday about a mile north of the interchange with Indiana 22 near Gas City, about midway between Indianapolis and Fort Wayne.
State police say a semi hauling auto parts was struck from behind by another northbound semi. One of the semis was destroyed by a fire and other vehicles were damaged by debris from the crash.
One of the truck drivers was taken to a Marion hospital with minor injuries.
Clean up was continuing about three hours after the crash. Northbound traffic was being diverted onto Indiana 22 and allowed back on I-69 about five miles later at Indiana 18.
