Allstate recognizes local entrepreneurs
ANDERSON — Allstate Insurance Company is recognizing local Allstate agency owners for outstanding customer service and business results last year. Two Anderson agents were awarded either a Chairman’s or President’s Conference Award for their achievement.
Allstate agent Steve Folgate was recognized as a Chairman’s Conference Award recipient. Professionals in the Chairman’s Conference Award category were honored for high standards in customer satisfaction, customer retention and profitable business growth. About 9 percent of Allstate Insurance agents nationally reach this level of achievement, based on sales for auto, property and power sports insurance, according to a release from Allstate.
Timothy Jordan received the President’s Conference Award which is a designation that only about 13 percent of agents receive who have demonstrated high standards in customer satisfaction, customer retention and profitable business growth in 2009.
Red Gold award given to Rohrs
INDIANAPOLIS — An Ohio man received the second annual Red Gold Stewardship Award Wednesday during the Celebration of Agriculture event at the Indiana State Fair.
Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman and Red Gold Director of Agriculture Steve Smith presented the award to Tony Rohrs of Rohrs Brothers in Deshler, Ohio. The Red Gold Stewardship Award recognizes one Red Gold grower nationwide for its conservation efforts.
Tony Rohrs and his family use a holistic conservation cropping system approach on all of their acres. The Rohrs also employ a heavy use of precision agriculture and mapping to manage inputs more efficiently, according to a release from Skillman’s office. They also have had tremendous success using cover crops after tomatoes and no-tilling corn into the cover crop the following year.
