Elwood Mayor Ron Arnold left for Japan on Thursday for a 10-day economic development trip. He will be meeting with the Sakamoto family (owners of Elsa Industries of Elwood), then with leaders of several major Japanese corporations including Toyota and Subaru.
“Elwood is perfectly positioned to benefit from the influx of Japanese manufacturing that will occur over the next several years,” Arnold said.

Yard sale season means big business
