Bright Automotive to reveal details of electric vehicle

ANDERSON — An Anderson-based company plans to unveil details of its plug-in hybrid electric vehicle.

Carolyn Englar, a representative of Bright Automotive, said Tuesday that CEO John Waters, Indiana Secretary of Commerce Mitch Roob and Energy Systems Network CEO Paul Mitchell will appear at the Indiana State Fairgrounds at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Bright Automotive is preparing to take a prototype of the 100-miles-per-gallon vehicle to Washington, D.C. The company plans to begin producing 50,000 units per year by the end of 2012. Bright Automotive expects to create 5,000 jobs by 2013.
