ANDERSON, Ind. —
Madison County Drug Task Force officers found 13 one-pot methamphetamine labs and arrested two late Tuesday night.
Michael J. Ellis, 37, and Tina M. Berryman, 44, both of Anderson, face possession of meth and manufacturing meth charges. DTF officers found bottles filled with meth, a hydrochloric acid generator and numerous materials used in meth production in the attic of Ellis’ mother’s house in the 2600 block of Chippewa Street, according to a probable cause affidavit of the incident.
According to the report, detectives suspected Ellis had been cooking meth almost daily. Neighbors had been calling and reporting strong chemical and solvent smells coming from the garage behind the house.
While investigating the garage and the inside of the home, officers heard walking in the attic, and after checking they found Berryman hiding with the meth-making materials.
DTF officers spent the rest of the evening cleaning out the attic and processing the materials.
