ANDERSON — Indiana State Police have finished their investigation of a Madison County police-action shooting, and turned over their report to the Madison County Prosecutor’s office, Sgt. Mike Burns said.
Prosecutor Tom Broderick said Tuesday night that his office received the 300-page report, supplemented by several DVDs and CDs, late Tuesday afternoon. He said his office is reviewing the information and will make a determination about what actions, if any, are appropriate as soon as possible.
Almost two weeks ago, two members of the Madison County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team shot a man — 47-year-old Mark Croy — armed with a sawed-off shotgun, according to Sheriff Ron Richardson. The officers were put on administrative leave. Croy was taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where he is now listed in fair condition.
