MUNCIE —
Indiana State Police arrested a Muncie man Wednesday after finding marijuana growing at his residence.
Senior Trooper Ron Halbert Jr., marijuana eradication coordinator for the Redkey District, received information from the Muncie Drug Task Force that Andrew L. Stovall, 45, 500 block of West Wilson Street, was growing marijuana at his home.
Halbert obtained a search warrant from Delaware Circuit Court 3, and found 12 large marijuana plants in the backyard and processed marijuana in the home.
Stovall was not at home when the search warrant was served, but was alerted by family members. Stovall spoke to Halbert on the phone, and agreed to turn himself over to troopers at his attorney’s office.
He was taken to the Delaware County Jail and held on $10,000 bond on preliminary charges of cultivating marijuana over 30 grams and maintaining a common nuisance, Class D felonies.
