Bond revoked for man shot by SWAT

ANDERSON — Madison County Judge Rudolph Pyle on Wednesday granted a request to revoke the bond of a man who was charged with a similar infraction in city court.

Mark Croy, 47, was out on a $5,000 bond in Madison County Circuit Court for domestic battery, strangulation and intimidation. He then was charged with invasion of privacy in Anderson City Court.

Madison County Prosecutor Tom Broderick said a full-cash $25,000 bond was set on the invasion charge, just before the revocation, which effectively leaves him in jail without bond.

Croy was shot by Madison County Sheriff’s Department SWAT members last month when they attempted to serve a warrant on the invasion charge. Broderick said Croy is being held at the Marion County infirmary for about another week because of his injuries. He will then be transferred to Madison County jail, Broderick said.
