Dec. 1: Arrest Log

• Christopher R. Aynes, 35, of the 3600 block of East 100 South, Anderson, at 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of West 300 North on suspicion of invasion of privacy, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond is $5,000.

• Elwood police arrested Keith J. Sharp, 25, of the 10200 block of Carmine Drive, Noblesville, at 3:31 p.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Main Street on suspicion of domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor; leaving the scene of an accident, a Class B misdemeanor; and criminal recklessness, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond is $4,000.

• Indiana State Police troopers arrested Dustin A. Summers, 22, of the 200 block of North Shirley Road, Shirley, at 2:16 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of 31st Street and Central Avenue on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond is $6,000.

• Elwood police arrested Harold W. Reynolds, 36, of the 2400 block of North D Street, Elwood, at 8:50 a.m. Sunday in the 7500 block of Harmony Drive on suspicion of invasion of privacy, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond is $50,000.

• Anderson police arrested James H. Peay Jr., 55, of the 2100 block of Central Avenue, Anderson, at 10:35 p.m. Saturday in the 2100 block of Central on suspicion of domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond is $5,000.

• Madison County sheriff’s deputies arrested Carl D. Toombs, 31, of the 1800 block of Lakeshore Drive, Anderson, at 11:45 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of 200 East and 300 North on suspicion of driving while suspended, a Class A misdemeanor. He is being held without bond.

• Anderson police arrested Michael W. Filbrun, 41, of the 2100 block of Pearl Street, Anderson, at 8:57 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of 22nd Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on suspicion of driving while suspended, a Class A misdemeanor. He is being held without bond.

• Indiana State Police troopers arrested Sarah S. Chambers, 25, of the 400 block of Saint Martin Street, Fort Wayne, at 5:25 p.m. Sunday at the Pendleton Correctional Facility on suspicion of trafficking with inmate, a Class C felony, and possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond is $20,000.

• Anderson police arrested Connie S. Thomas, 47, of the 300 block of West 11th Street, Anderson, at 7:25 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Alhambra Drive on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class D felony; possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony; leaving the scene of an accident, a Class A misdemeanor; and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor. Bond is $10,000 cash.

• Alexandria police arrested Gerold A Mooneyhan, 43, of the 100 block of West Garfield Street, Alexandria, at 7 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Garfield Street and Lincoln Avenue on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class D felony; operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor; and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor. Bond is $50,000.

• Anderson police arrested Joshua K. Massengale, 23, of the 1700 block of West Eighth Street, Anderson, at 11:25 a.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of West Eighth on suspicion of receiving stolen property, a Class D felony. Bond is $5,000.

• Anderson police arrested Christopher A. Gibson, 31, of the 1700 block of Red Fern Way, Anderson, at 6 p.m. Friday at the Anderson Police Department on suspicion of burglary resulting in bodily injury, a Class A felony, and battery, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond is $35,000.

• Anderson police arrested Beverly K. Reedy, 59, of the 5600 block of Mechanics Road, Middletown, at 7:20 p.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of Scatterfield Road on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor. She has since been released.

• Anderson police arrested Adam E. Wire, 33, of the 800 block of East South B Street, Gas City, at 9:30 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of 53rd Street and Scatterfield Road on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor. He has since been released.

• Elwood police arrested Rachel A. Gwinn, 27, of the 700 block of North 14th Street, Elwood, at 3:46 a.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of South B Street on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony, and public intoxication, a Class B misdemeanor. She has since been released.

• Madison County sheriff’s deputies arrested Kurt E. Miedema, 39, of the 100 block of West 16th Street, Anderson, at 1:18 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Indiana 9 and 375 North on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor. He has since been released.

• Anderson police arrested Phillip A. Whitacre, 19, of the 800 block of Sarasota Road, Pontiac, Mich., at 3:15 a.m. Monday at the southbound 21-mile marker along Interstate 69 on suspicion of possession of marijuana, a Class D felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor. He has since been released.

• Anderson police arrested Daniel J. Whitacre, 22, of the 800 block of Sarasota Road, Pontiac, Mich., at 3:15 a.m. Monday at the southbound 21-mile marker along Interstate 69 on suspicion of possession of marijuana, a Class D felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor. He has since been released.

    Memorial Day weekend  took a tragic turn Saturday evening as an Anderson man visiting Monroe Reservoir died. Three other Anderson men were arrested later that day following the death of Matthew Hosier, 29.

    Since October 2006, Donald Lock has been confined to a wheel chair because of a degenerative bone disease. He has spent time at correctional facilities throughout the state, but it wasn’t until he was transferred to Pendleton earlier this year that he said he felt his disability was ignored.

    A Chinese immigrant who tried to kill herself by eating rat poison was free on bond Tuesday after more than a year in an Indianapolis jail on charges that she killed her 33-week-old fetus.
