Noblesville woman injured when car flips near Orestes

Alcohol may have been a factor, sheriff says

PIPE CREEK TOWNSHIP — A Noblesville woman was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood after her car flipped near Orestes early Friday morning.

Madison County Sheriff Ron Richardson said Skyla Biddle, 20, of Noblesville, was traveling eastbound on State Road 28 near County Road 450 West when her 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt side-swiped a guard rail.

Richardson said the car crossed both lanes, left the roadway on the north side and became airborne after running into a ditch. The car landed in a cement culvert over a drainage ditch and came to rest on its roof in a nearby field.

Richardson said Biddle was able to pull herself out of the vehicle by the time officers arrived. She was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Hospital after complaining of pain.

Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, Richardson said, and toxicology tests may result in criminal charges.
