CHESTERFIELD — Police arrested three men on suspicion of operating a meth lab Saturday.
Chesterfield Police Chief Bob Stewart said an officer responded to a burglary tip just after 8 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of South Water Street and found two men fleeing the house.
The officer then discovered a suspected methamphetamine lab in the bathroom of the home.
Stewart said the men are suspected of having been cooking meth in a quart jar.
Jacob A. Kimm, 33, and Shane E. Snyder, 33, were arrested soon after police began their search for the men but a third suspect escaped two police search perimeters before being captured.
Phillip M. Snyder, 34, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
Kimm was jailed on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, illegal possession of anhydrous ammonia solution and maintaining a common nuisance. He was being held on $5,000 bond Sunday night.
Both Phillip and Shane Snyder were arrested in connection with the illegal drug lab, and suspicion of maintaining a common nuisance and possession of a controlled substance.
Phillip Snyder was also charged with escape. His bond is $10,000.
