Lapel firefighters responded to a barn fire at 4960 W. Eighth Street Road in Jackson Township just after 6 p.m. Sunday.
Lapel’s Assistant Fire Chief Todd Sears said the fire was quickly contained to a corner of the barn and caused minor damage. The homeowners were not home at the time of the fire. Firefighters from Edgewood, Pendleton and Frankton also provided tanker assistance at the fire.
