ANDERSON — A three-car accident near downtown Anderson resulted when a truck driver’s brakes failed Thursday, according to Anderson Police Department spokesman Sgt. Bill Casey.
The truck was westbound on 14th Street when it rear-ended a 1999 Ford Escort — which then rear-ended the Chevy S-10 in front of it — at Central Avenue. Casey said the driver of the Escort was taken to a local hospital with back pain complaints. The accident has been cleared and no citations were issued, Casey said.
No other information was available Thursday evening.
