-- Anderson police arrested Johnathon L. Stewart, 20, E. 47th Street, Elwood. Tuesday. 4:15 a.m. 3700 Oklahoma St., Anderson. Suspicion of Class D felony strangulation, Class D felony residential entry and Class A misdemeanor battery. $5,000 bond.

-- Anderson police arrested Duane A. Stoker, 48, N. Morrison Road, Muncie. Tuesday. 1:13 a.m. Suspicion of Class A misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated. $20,000 bond.

-- Anderson police arrested Timothy D. Elsten II, 21, W. Reformatory Road, Fortville. Monday. 8:40 p.m. 38th and Scatterfield Road, Anderson. Suspicion of Class A misdemeanor resisting arrest, Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and Class B misdemeanor public intoxication. $5,000 bond.

-- Anderson police arrested Breanne D. Kologe, 30, W. U.S. 36, Middletown. Monday. 4:30 p.m. 2300 Charles St., Anderson. Suspicion of Class A misdemeanor shoplifting. Released.

-- Madison County deputies arrested James F. Wall, 67, Ridge Road, Anderson. Sunday. 9:53 p.m. 53rd and Martin Luther King, Anderson. Suspicion of Class A misdemeanor operating a vehicle. Released.

-- Elwood police arrested Gene D. Short Jr., 41, North C Street, Elwood. Oct. 29. 9:14 p.m. 2318 North A Street, Elwood. Suspicion of Class D felonies rape, strangulation and domestic battery. Released.

-- Madison County deputies arrested Darrell A. Boards, 27, W. 19th Street, Anderson. Saturday. 2:50 a.m. 19th and Arrow, Anderson. Suspicion of Class A misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Released.

-- Indiana State police arrested Richard L. Waymire, 64, Clearview Drive, Anderson. Tuesday. 12:22 a.m. 29th and Delaware, Anderson. Suspicion of Class A misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Released.

-- Indiana State police arrested Mark F. Brown, 22, Dakota Drive, Anderson. Friday. 10:25 a.m. Madison and Martin Luther King, Anderson. Suspicion of Class D felony arson, Class D felony residential entry, Class A misdemeanor batter and Class A misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Released.

--u Madison County deputies arrested Scott J. Rhea, 18, N. Sagebrush, Alexandria. Oct. 19. 3:35 p.m. Suspicion of Class B felony attempted burglary. Released.

u Anderson police arrested Zachary W. Holcomb, 25, Larue Lane, Anderson. Monday. 9:56 p.m. 800 block of Larue Lane, Anderson. Suspicion of Class A misdemeanor domestic battery. Released.

  • Man confesses to killing Anderson woman

    Anderson police have arrested Eddie Hargrow of Anderson in connection with the stabbing death of Beverly Burnett. According to Anderson police spokesman Officer Chad Boynton, Hargrow turned himself in around 11 p.m. Saturday night and gave a full confession.

  • Anderson woman killed in stabbing

    Beverly Burnett, 48, of Anderson, was pronounced dead at Saint John's Medical Center late Saturday night, the victim of a stabbing, according to Anderson police spokesman Officer Chad Boynton.
