ANDERSON — Anderson police found two people hidden in a car trunk after arresting the driver Wednesday night, according to a police report.
The police report says police stopped Eramus Warner, 19, Wednesday at 16th and Lincoln streets after Warner almost collided with a police cruiser. Warner tried to throw a gun under a nearby car but the officer recovered it and placed him under arrest.
When officers inspected the white Chevrolet Caprice, they found a 60-inch flat-screen TV in the backseat. Officers also found two people “hiding in the trunk,” the report said. It was not clear at the time of publication exactly why or when the two were in the trunk. However, the report says officers released both people without charges.
Warner was charged with possession of a handgun, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct.
