Elwood firefighter arrested on DWI charge

ELWOOD — Indiana State Police arrested an Elwood firefighter on Thanksgiving on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in Pendleton, according to Madison County Jail Commander Andrew Williams.

Williams said John Landrum, 46, has been released on a $5,000 bond for Class A misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated. A fire department official said Tuesday night that the department had no comment and calls were being referred to the Elwood mayor’s office. The mayor’s office could not be reached Tuesday night.
