ANDERSON, Ind. —
A car hit two houses on Ohio Avenue on Wednesday, after its driver hit a slick patch of road.
Brooke Hall, 23, of Anderson, was driving on a suspended license when she lost control of her blue-green Chevy Cobalt, said Anderson police Sgt. Nick Durr.
The car sideswiped the house of Darla Poore, 1912 Ohio Ave., before hitting the house next door.
“I heard a very loud ‘boom’ and then the whole house shook,” said Poore, who was home due to illness. She said she’ll likely have to fix the siding on the front of her house and replant flowers and grass. “My heart’s still pumping,” she said.
The house next door, 1916, is owned by Connie Jones, who said she’ll have to replace her fence, which the car tore down.
Hall did not appear to be injured, but was taken to St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital as a precaution.
“I’m just thankful she’s OK,” Jones said.
Durr said Hall will be given two traffic citations.
