Arrest Log for Sunday, March 14

Arrests made by Madison County law enforcement on Thursday through Saturday, based on Madison County Jail records. (Some cities were not recorded on arrest cards.)

-- Anderson Police arrested Drew P. Moyer, 19, of the 2900 block of Fairview Street, Anderson, at 1 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of West 11th Street. Bond was set at $4,000 on a Class A misdemeanor charge of resisting law enforcement.

-- Madison County sheriff’s deputies arrested Kacey L. Harp, 34, of the 2000 block of East U.S. 36, Markleville, at 10:20 a.m. Saturday at her home. Bond was set at $5,000 on Class A misdemeanor charges of battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

-- Madison County sheriff’s deputies arrested Richard A. Hiles, 28, of the 1700 block of East 56th Street, Anderson, at 3:57 a.m. Saturday at 53rd and Orleans streets. No bond was set on Class D felony charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance.

-- Madison County sheriff’s deputies arrested Carl J. Brinker, 54, of the 5800 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, at 2:50 a.m. Saturday at his home. No bond was set on a Class A misdemeanor charge of invasion of privacy.

-- Anderson police arrested Keegan N. Collins, 20, of the 2600 block of Trade Winds Court, Anderson, at 11:32 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of West Eighth Street. Bond was set at $5,000 on Class A misdemeanor charges of conversion and possession of marijuana and Class B misdemeanor public intoxication.

-- Elwood police arrested Gary R. Jones, 43, of the 700 block of North 12th Street, Elwood, at 9:46 p.m. Friday at his home. No bond was set on a Class D felony charge of contempt of court.

-- Anderson police arrested Randall E. Huston, 44, of the 3600 block of Wells Street, Anderson, at 7 p.m. Friday at 37th Street and Columbus Avenue. No bond was set on a Class A misdemeanor charge of invasion of privacy.

-- Madison County sheriff’s deputies arrested Clayton P. Frazier, 26, of the 1800 block of 27th Street, Anderson, at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Madison County Government Center. No bond was set on a Class A misedemeanor charge of battery.

-- Anderson police arrested Frank J. Wimsatt III, 23, of the 1800 block of Nichol Avenue, at noon Friday in the 2800 block of Crystal Street. He was released on a Class A misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana.

-- Madison County sheriff’s deputies arrested Larry R. Smith, 68, of the 7600 block of Yarling Street, Elwood, at 1:01 a.m. Saturday on Indiana 37 north of Yarling Street. He was released on a Class A misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

-- Indiana State Police arrested Derek M. Fogle, 43, of the 8700 block of Old Fort Road, Fortville, at 2:16 a.m. Friday on Scatterfield Road north of 53rd Street. He was released on a Class A misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

-- Anderson police arrested Brenda K. Buchheim of the 6200 block of Highland Lane, McCordsville, at 2:01 a.m. Friday at 14th and Meridian streets. She was released on charges of Class D felony operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle as a habitual traffic offender; and Class B misdemeanor false informing.

-- Chesterfield police arrested Danielle R. Skaggs, 20, of Anderson, at 1:55 a.m. Friday on County Road 67 east of County Road 400 East. She was released on charges of Class D felony operating a vehicle while intoxicated, Class B misdemeanor illegal possession, consumption or transport of alcohol, and Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

-- Anderson police arrested Lamont D. Smith, 31, of the 2200 block of West Eighth Street, Anderson, at 8:45 p.m. Thursday at home. Bond was set at $5,000 on a Class D felony charge of battery resulting in a bodily injury and on a charge probation violation.

-- Anderson police arrested Alfred D. Steele, 29, of the 2100 block of Drexel Drive, Anderson, at 10 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Sun Valley Drive. He was released on a Class B felony charge of possession of cocaine and Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

    Memorial Day weekend  took a tragic turn Saturday evening as an Anderson man visiting Monroe Reservoir died. Three other Anderson men were arrested later that day following the death of Matthew Hosier, 29.

    Since October 2006, Donald Lock has been confined to a wheel chair because of a degenerative bone disease. He has spent time at correctional facilities throughout the state, but it wasn’t until he was transferred to Pendleton earlier this year that he said he felt his disability was ignored.

    A Chinese immigrant who tried to kill herself by eating rat poison was free on bond Tuesday after more than a year in an Indianapolis jail on charges that she killed her 33-week-old fetus.
