ANDERSON — Liberty Christian School has named Jeremy Cowin to be the school’s next superintendent. Cowin replaces Shannon Dare, who has accepted a new role as headmaster of Red Lion Christian Academy in Delaware.
Cowin begins his assignment at July 1 and was the keynote speaker during Liberty Christian’s commencement in May.
“We have clearly sensed God’s call of Mr. Cowin to become a part of the Liberty Christian leadership team,” said Sena Landey, president of the board of directors for Liberty Christian School, in a press release. “His love of children and his commitment to Christian education as articulated in our vison and mission are both so very evident."
Cowin formerly was superintendent at Village Christian Academy in Fayetteville, N.C. He previously served as middle school principal of Wake Christian Academy in Raleigh, N.C., and taught at Franklinton Elementary School in Franklinton, N.C., and for Bowling Green Elementary School in Bowling Green, Mo.
Cowin is a graduate of Hannibal LaGrange College in Hannibal, Mo., and holds a master’s degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. He has extensive ministry experience.
Cowin and his wife, Heather, have three daughters.
