ANDERSON — The Anderson University School of Music will hold its annual faculty dance concert, “Spring Into Dance,” on March 26 and 27.
Performances will take place at Reardon Auditorium on the Anderson University campus, and are open to the campus
community and general public.
The performance on Friday, March 26 will be at 7:30 p.m. The performance on Saturday, March 27 will be a 2:30 p.m. matinee. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors, Anderson University faculty and students, and children under the age of 10.
Tickets may be purchased by calling the School of Music office at 641-4543 or (800) 619-3047. This year’s “Spring Into Dance” concert will feature a wide variety of choreography, ranging from thought-provoking to entertaining to sheer comedy.
Audience members will also get a taste of what is happening in the New York City dance scene through guest artist Peter Kyle. Kyle has toured internationally with Nikolais and Murray Louis Dance, Mark Morris Dance Group, and Erick Hawkins Dance Company, among others.
His choreography has been commissioned through Kaatsbaan International Dance Center and The Dancenow/NYC Festival, among others. This year’s concert will also highlight Anderson University’s three new dance majors: Dance Performance, Dance Business, and Dance Complementary.
