Fundraising dinner set for March 21

ANDERSON, Ind. — Soroptimist International of Anderson will have a fundraising dinner on Thursday, March 21, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Garfield’s Restaurant in Mounds Mall, 2109 S. Scatterfield Road.

Garfield’s will donate a portion of the evening’s food sales to the local women’s service club. This includes dine-in and carryout sales.

Proceeds will be used to fund the Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity Award, Virginia M. Wagner Educational Grant and the Violet Richardson Award for volunteerism.

Applications information about these awards and grants for women and girls will be provided at the dinner. Mission statement and membership information about the club will also be available for interested women. Club members will also have information about the upcoming Lunafest, short films by, for and about women, scheduled April 13 at The Anderson Center for the Arts.

Soroptimist International of Anderson has been supporting women and girls locally and throughout the world since 1953.
