  • Anderson Powerball players tend to go for the big payouts

    Someone in Florida has the winning numbers to the highest Powerball jackpot in history — a whopping estimated $590.5 million. But before those numbers were drawn Saturday, multiple people right here in Anderson gave it a go. On Sunday, The Herald Bulletin stopped by Mounds Mall to interview several Powerball players.

    The annual Lapel High School Variety Show will be staged at 7 p.m. Saturday in the auditorium. The show will feature all of the performing groups in the high school. Included will be the high school band, Jazz Band, Show Choir and Concert Choir.
