The family of Barella Gray invites her family and friends to help her celebrate her 100th birthday on Sunday, Feb. 19, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Keystone Woods Assisted Living, 2335 N. Madison Ave.
Barella was born in Logansport and graduated from Logansport High School in 1929. She moved to Anderson in 1935 with her late husband, Pat Gray, who passed away in 1952. She was counseling secretary at Anderson High School for 25 years, retiring in 1977. She has been active in many clubs and has volunteered at Saint John’s Medical Center. She has also been a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church.
She has two children, Ann (Tim) Swinford of Anderson and Paul (Joan) Gray of Kalamazoo, Mich. She has four grandchildren, Tom (Cathy) Swinford of Anderson, Shelly (Doug) Bruce of Bloomington, Pat (Amy) Gray of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Paula Gray of Kalamazoo, Mich. She has nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter due this month.
