To celebrate their 50th anniversary the family of Gene and Joyce Zimmerman invite family and friends to an open house today from 2 to 5 p.m. at Park Place Church of God, Newberry Room, Anderson. Your presence will be gift enough.
Gene and Joyce (Alexander) were married July 5, 1958, at Arrow Heights Church of God by the Rev. Robert Boyette.
Gene served in the U.S. Air Force as a radar mechanic. A master printer, he retired after 39 years from Warner Press Inc. He was pre-press manager for 27 years.
Joyce, a registered nurse is a graduate of Methodist Hospital of Indiana School of Nursing, Indianapolis. She is also a published writer.
They are blessed to be the parents of son, Paul (Julie) Zimmerman of Anderson, and a daughter, April (Jeff) Grider of Cordova, Tenn. They have five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
