ANDERSON, Ind. —
Scott Hall, head softball coach Butler University. Sounds like a winner. Of course, looking at his record, the wins stand out. A couple hundred victories, and lots of scholarship opportunities for his players.
Scott’s footprint in Pendleton doesn’t stop with the record. He continually challenged and engaged the parents to help create what is arguably the best facility in the state. Being blessed with great talent coming through the system, the needs of the team always eclipsed the desires of the parents and maximized the potential of the unit on the field.
Trust me on that point. Team rules weren’t compromised, regardless of the talent involved. As a teacher, “kinda hard” is what I’m told, but fair and approachable.
In his wake he leaves a great facility and an unbelievable record. He also helped nurses, educators, singers, midshipmen, U.S. Army cadets, police, physical therapists, marketers and accountants get a head start at the next level. Scott doesn’t deserve this opportunity. He’s earned it. We wish him well and are glad we participated in his success.
