This viewpoint is in response to Norma Abbey’s viewpoint of July 11. There are a multitude of reasons President Obama is the recipient of “vitriolic criticism.” It is not because he is a Democrat, but because of his basic beliefs as to what the United States should be. His beliefs and strategy come straight out of Saul Alinsky’s (a Marxist) “Rules for radicals.”
The basis for his actions have nothing to do with the betterment of our people or our country, but have everything to do with creating the left’s version of “Utopia.” The strategy to accomplish this is clearly spelled out in Alinsky’s writings. The intention is to infiltrate the government, destroy the economy and existing society. They can then build their wonderful dream world sprinkled with fairy dust and all will be good. Unfortunately the system they seek to destroy is free market capitalism, the very system that made this the most successful and richest nation the world has ever known. This nation is and has been the most charitable nation ever on the face of this earth and is not the despicable greedy Capitalist pigs the libs would have you believe. It has saved Europe (and the world) from dictators not once, but twice at a terrible cost.
Liberals hate the free market system because it does not allow them complete control of the economy and produces wealth for those other than the ruling elite. (And, yes, not all capitalists play fair). Consequently, Obama has surrounded himself with Marxists, communists and a few tax cheats. Among his trusted friends are the Rev. Jeremiah Wright (a hate-filled racist bigot), Frank Marshall (a Marxist poet), Louis Farrakhan (Nation of Islam), William Ayers (bomber of the Pentagon and the Capitol) and Hillary Clinton (pupil of Alinsky).
In order to reach these goals, the present administration has badgered, degraded and demonized nearly every known capitalist company in the country. First, the automakers were chastised for their private jets, then came the doctors, oil companies, insurance companies, and probably a few more I have forgotten. They have already nationalized one-sixth of our economy by the health care takeover. This will eventually destroy private insurance companies. They are now poised to nationalize the oil industry.
If one were to believe the government rhetoric, we should nationalize all businesses for the good of the country. It would seem that the government should be helping businesses instead of demonizing them. But then this administration hasn’t figured out that jobs are created by businesses — not the government.
More recently, the disaster in the gulf has been in every headline, and it only took Obama some 58 days to lift the Jones act and allow help from countries with much more experience with this problem than we have. Had this been President Bush, the mainstream media would have been screaming for his hide. (It took Bush two days to lift the Jones act after Katrina.) President Obama’s communistic idea of income redistribution is to take from those who produce and give to those who do not. This assures the loyalty of the nonproducers in our society.
And this is the man we want to lead our country?
