This gun control issue is not in line with the Constitution. The reason the Second Amendment was placed in the Bill of Rights was to protect the citizens from tyranny of government. Guns are not the issue. They are inanimate objects. Use one wrongly and it can kill. Use a knife wrongly and it can kill. Use a car wrongly and it can kill.
Tyrants confiscate guns to control the people. We see this throughout history. It’s a step to gain absolute control and dominate the masses. Again, I emphasize that “the right to bear arms” was purposely put in the Bill of Rights to protect the citizens from tyranny and oppressive government.
Gun control will be pursued. It will be incremental. They will start with assault weapons, and they’ll gradually proceed from there. Eventually, they’ll want to confiscate them all. This is part of their objective, and they’ll try to do this in a manipulative and sly approach, like they’ve done many issues before while incrementally taking away your rights. The Constitution is being trashed before your eyes.
President Obama is now using “executive orders” against gun control. Who needs Congress? This is becoming such a charade. Where are the checks and balances? A king makes decisions without checks and balances, but our government is not supposed to function this way.
If gun control is fully implemented as law, then America, you are no longer America. The Founding Fathers had it right when they added the Bill of Rights to the Constitution.

Letter to the editor: Republican tax cut is for only the rich
Don’t judge this bunch of phony majority demagogues in Indianapolis by who gets a tax cut, because if you are a middle class member working stiff, you won’t get one. At least for over $10 a year, while the rich of Indiana will get millions in cuts. Same old crap!
