Concerning City Councilman Ollie H. Dixon, I have to say for a judge to dismiss those charges and then say it wasn’t political has to be a joke. Indiana law requires those with valid concealed carry permits to inform officers at the time of any stop if they are carrying a weapon (one strike, Ollie). On the video it appears that he is well aware he has it on him in the cell as he adjusts it in the small of his back (strike two). For a sitting judge who is an NRA life member, and should be aware of the carry laws of this state since I do believe he is permitted to carry as well, to dismiss charges is nothing less than aiding a criminal. To call it racial discrimination is nothing more than attempt to avoid responsibility for one’s actions (strike three). Instead now the taxpayers will pay for the appeal, and further litigation so one Democrat can scratch the back of another. Game over, the citizens lose.
