I cannot believe there is a “witch hunt” on for Anderson City Councilman and Anderson Parks Recreational Superintendent, Rodney Chamberlain. I do not need to wait for an investigation. I have known Rodney Chamberlain for more than 30 years and first met him while he and I were working with the Anderson youth involving church basketball and church softball. There is no way he has stepped over any line involving his work.
City Councilman Rodney Chamberlain has shown on several occasions to be his own man while voting his conscience against his boss’s boss, the mayor of Anderson. Rodney Chamberlain has also worked tireless, unpaid hours as our city’s park recreational superintendent. Rodney Chamberlain received more votes than other city councilman in the last election primarily because the voters of Anderson were aware of all the work he has done for our community.
I would even say that Rodney Chamberlain has the potential to be the mayor of Anderson at some future date. I would hope that the citizens of Anderson would reserve their judgement and keep an open mind until proof of Chamberlain’s innocence is revealed.
