Bobby Knight does not set a good example for players, students, faculty nor the general public. We feel strongly about his entry into the Hall of Fame. This is not acceptable.
His tarnished history of extreme vulgarity and battery of students are part of his unnecessary outbursts. Throwing chairs, papers, pencils, and other items during his temper tantrums does not reflect good judgment and quality of character. Assaults against players, including his own son is repulsive.
His behaviors reflected somewhat upon Indiana University. The president, directors, and other faculty members should not have allowed Knight to be so brash and obscene while representing I.U. To place him in the Hall of Fame will never be acceptable.
