I would personally like to extend a huge thank-you to everyone in our Anderson “family,” without whom training camp would not have been such an amazing success.
To Anderson University President Dr. James Edwards and Mayor Kris Ockomon, thank you for your leadership in orchestrating this monumental event. You truly showed the sports world what a great place we have in Anderson.
Many of our fans may not understand the countless hours of work required by an event of this magnitude. Thank you to the staffs at the city of Anderson and Anderson University.
It was so exciting to wake each morning and see the daily camp coverage by The Herald Bulletin. Thank you to all the THB writers and staff members for your great work.
This incredible feat could never have been achieved without the tremendous generosity of those donors who stepped up to the plate in a huge way. Thank you to the businesses, organizations and individuals who donated to the effort.
Finally, thank you to Sena Landey, Anderson University vice president of finance and treasurer, and Steve Champlin, Indianapolis Colts director of football administration. This all started with a conversation in 2003, and none of this would ever have been possible without your commitment to never giving up on the dream of bringing the Colts back to Anderson.
I have said it for years and I will continue to do so: Anderson, Indiana, is one of the best-kept secrets in the world, and the 2010 Colts Training Camp is just one more example to prove that fact.
