In the Sunday, Aug. 29, The Herald-Bulletin, the editorial staff opined that the former Emge buildings and stockyards should be razed.
Well, I agree, but there are other buildings that are in even worse shape: the old Nicholson File complex and the old National Tile complex, just to name two of them. They are deteriorated to such an extent as to be dangerous to kids, transients, the homeless, and all others who gain access to them. These buildings need to be razed immediately for safety’s sake. No one is going to purchase them in their present conditions, so why not raze them? It would be for the best and we all know it.
