INDIANAPOLIS —
The Anderson High School Marching Highlanders and the Frankton Jr./Sr. High School Marching Eagles advanced to the final round of competition this evening at the Indiana State Fair Band Day competition.
Anderson had the highest score in the first-round competition, and will perform at 10:32 p.m. Frankton is scheduled to perform at 8:56 p.m.
Elwood High School was selected to perform in the exhibition section which is prior to the competition of the 16 finalist bands.
Other bands in the final 16, scheduled to begin performances at 8 p.m., are Centerville, East Central, Hagerstown, Jay County, Kokomo, Muncie Central, Muncie Southside, Noblesville, Northeastern, Richmond, Southmont, Vincennes, Winchester and Yorktown. Admission tonight is $10 for adults and $4 for children.
