ANDERSON, Ind. —
A week after police were dispatched to the residence of Amber Portwood following a 911 call reporting that the star of MTV's "Teen Mom" was threatening suicide, the reality television star has checked into rehab.
According to a report from Star Magazine, Portwood said she was headed to California for treatment for anger control and depression.
On June 14, Portwood’s boyfriend, Gary Shirley, called police saying Portwood was threatening to take her own life. Portwood was taken to Saint John’s Medical Center for evaluation and was released June 17.
“I’m on medication at the moment to just help me relax," Portwood told Star Magazine. "I’m in a vulnerable state right now.”
Portwood on June 9 was ordered to undergo 30 days of inpatient treatment as part of a plea deal she struck with Superior Court 4 Judge David Happe on two counts of domestic battery. Happe said treatment facilities had to be pre-approved by the probation department and didn’t know if the facility in California qualified or not.

Certain rules govern almost all libraries: be quiet, don’t mar the pages and absolutely no food or drinks on the premises. But a small group of patrons wait until after hours, lock themselves in the back room of the Alexandria-Monroe Public Library, eat popcorn, drink soda and loudly scoff as they watch bad movies.
