Branson Ozark Jubilee canceled

ANDERSON — The “Direct from Branson Ozark Jubilee” performance scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, March 22, at the Paramount Theatre has been canceled. Refunds are available at the box office upon presentation of a previously purchased ticket.



Florida Station holding dinner

ANDERSON — Florida Station Church of God, 1045 W. 375N, will have a free community dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

This month’s free meal, open to the public, is a soup dinner.



Get ready to dance at the Encounter

PENDLETON — A dance lesson and practice will be held in conjunction with the upcoming “Encounter at the Falls.”

Local residents have been learning dance steps and will share them with anyone coming to the Community Building in Falls Park at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 25.

Beginning, intermediate and advanced dancers are welcome at the informal gathering.



MainSource teaming with relief groups

ANDERSON — MainSource Bank has teamed up with Second Harvest Food Bank in Anderson, the Alexandria Emergency Relief Fund and the Frankton Food Pantry during March to help fill their food pantries.

Donations can be made at any of the following locations:

* Anderson: 4304 S. Scatterfield Road (in front on the old Wal-Mart) or 707 S. Scatterfield Road (across from Gene’s Rootbeer Stand)

* Alexandria: 202 N. Harrison St.

* Frankton: 204 Sigler St. The Frankton location is accepting paper products, personal hygiene items and monetary donations.



Kidz Take Stage holds registration

ANDERSON — Kidz Take the Stage will hold registrations at Mounds Mall from 4 to 9 p.m. this Monday through Thursday. Children ages 4-16 who register for the six-week sessions will learn skills in live theater while rehearsing to present a public performance.

The KTS curriculum is broken into three age groups. Each age group will perform a different show. Registration is $25 plus ticket sales. Children will be asked to repeat lines from a skit, learn a short dance and sing a short song. For information, call 643-0091 or visit kidzstage.net.



Candidate holding fish fry fundraiser

CHESTERFIELD — A Dan’s Fish Fry fundraiser for Sam Hanna for Sheriff will be held on Thursday, March 18, at the Millcreek Civic Center.

Serving hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m.



Longaberger and bingo party set

ELWOOD — Delta Theta Tau will host a Longaberger Basket and Vera Bradley Bingo on Thursday, March 18, at the Elwood Community High School cafeteria.

Tickets are $12/20. There will be a 50/50 raffle along with food and drinks.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with the games at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds will go to high school scholarships. Tickets are available at the door or by calling 552-7953.
