The United States Postal Service is advising customers to keep track of shipping deadlines to ensure presents arrive in time for the holidays. Mail packages by these dates to get them there by Christmas:
Dec. 10 Priority Mail Military
Dec. 11 Express Mail International
Dec. 14 Parcel Post
Dec. 17 Global Express Guaranteed
Dec. 20 First-Class Mail
Dec. 21 Priority Mail
Dec. 22 Express Mail
USPS also advises customers should double-check addresses, pack delicate items with plenty of cushion and use a sturdy box to ensure contents arrive intact.

Study reflects local hospital costs on par
It’s hard to say what’s worse — being hospitalized, or the bill that follows.
But in some places, that bill might be a bigger hit than others: Say, Monterey Park, Calif., for example, where an inpatient being treated for heart failure could expect to pay as much as $18,502 — about twice the average between Madison County’s Community Hospital Anderson and St. Vincent Anderson Regional. -
