ANDERSON — Saint John’s Better Breathers will meet at 3 p.m. today in Saint John’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation, located in the Saint John’s Medical Center basement. The free program is for people dealing with any lung problem, including asthma, COPD, emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
Participants are encouraged to utilize the free valet parking at the main entrance. For more information, call 646-8499.

Handicapped murder convict alleges prison discrimination
Since October 2006, Donald Lock has been confined to a wheel chair because of a degenerative bone disease. He has spent time at correctional facilities throughout the state, but it wasn’t until he was transferred to Pendleton earlier this year that he said he felt his disability was ignored.
