ANDERSON, Ind. —
Designed to benefit the youth of Madison County, the Youth Leadership Academy Grant is open to any Madison County nonprofit organization that oversees programming benefiting young people. Applications will be reviewed and awards made by the participants of the Youth Leadership Academy (YLA). The YLA consists of high school juniors from varied economic backgrounds, academic standings, race and ethnicity, who come together to gain knowledge and ownership as conscientious community stewards. As part of their leadership development, YLA participants organize an annual dance marathon, which funds the grant awards.
Applications are now available on the Madison County Community Foundation’s website, www.madisonccf.org. Application deadline is 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 2. Direct any questions to MCCF Program Director Tammy Bowman at tbowman@madisonccf.org or 644-0002.
