ANDERSON, Ind. —
An investigation into the robbery of an Anderson bank Tuesday was officially turned over to the FBI on Wednesday.
Anderson police Detective Joel Sandefur said officers were unable to find the man who held up Old National Bank at 1908 E. 53rd St. A search of the area went well into the night, he said. Police did not disclose how much money was stolen.
Witnesses described the gunman, who was recorded on the bank’s security camera, as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 150-180 pounds and with facial hair. He was wearing a black-and-white flannel shirt over a gray-hooded sweatshirt and red sweatpants. He was last seen heading northbound from the bank on foot.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at (765) 282-1905.
