ANDERSON, Ind. —
The merger between area behavioral health agencies will mean a move for some local employees of Aspire Indiana but also an expansion to some local services.
Aspire — a newly formed organization created by a merger between BehaviorCorp in Carmel and The Center for Mental Health in Anderson — will move into its new headquarters in Noblesville this fall.
Aspire President and CEO Richard DeHaven said it won’t affect the services in Anderson at all. He pointed out that even with the move of 13 administrative positions to Noblesville, Anderson will remain the site that has the most employees at both the Broadway and Brown Street locations with 164 employees there and 14 in Elwood.
The business and administrative operations have been spread between Noblesville, Carmel and Anderson and the consolidation to the 26,600-square-foot building they’ve purchased in Noblesville Business Park will help with Aspire’s costs, DeHaven said. They will continue to have service operations in Anderson, Carmel, Elwood, Indianapolis, Lafayette, Lebanon, Muncie and Noblesville.
While Aspire has made the decision to be headquartered in Noblesville, it has added employees since the merger over the past year, DeHaven said. With the development of Harvest Land Co-Op and some other social enterprises, the company has added four full-time positions and 23 part-time positions.
Aspire provides behavioral health care and services for substance abuse treatment, HIV care coordination, housing for at-risk populations and mental health and substance abuse services to people who are deaf.
