EDGEWOOD – According to scanner traffic, an accident knocked down a pole on Nichol Avenue in Edgewood around 9:15 p.m. Friday. Nichol Avenue has been blocked off by police as they clear the accident and wait for a power company to arrive. It was not clear how much of Nichol Avenue was blocked off, but an officer said it would “probably be quite a while.” Emergency management was being called to the scene.
