Frankton show choir concert Saturday night

FRANKTON — The Frankton High School Show Choir will presenting its Spring Concert “This Is It” featuring the music of Michael Jackson Saturday at 7 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium.

The group will sing and dance to “ABC’ and present “The Man In The Mirror” and “Thriller” along with other selections.

There will also be several solos and small group songs presented. Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend this evening of entertainment.



Kidz Take Stage registration extended

ANDERSON — Kidz Take the Stage performing arts studio will offer additional registration dates on Monday, March 22 and Tuesday March 23 from 5 to 9 p.m. Registrations take place at Mounds Mall in Anderson and take approximately 20 minutes.

Children between the ages of 4 and 16 who register will be given six weeks of instruction and will present two public performances of a show.

Better Breathers Club offered

ANDERSON — The next Better Breathers meeting will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, at Community Hospital Anderson’s Education Center, 1923 N. Madison Ave.

This meeting will feature resources to help with health care costs and questions. For more information, contact Dawana Felty at 298-5178.



Learn to keep youth safe with technology

ELWOOD — “Keeping Youth Safe When Using Technology,” event sponsored by Character Counts of Madison County, will be held at the Elwood YMCA on Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Free food will be provided. Bingo will be in a separate room for the kids; the whole family is invited.

The event will help teach ways to protect kids who use cellphones, Facebook, Google, texting, MySpace, and surf the Web.



EMT class offered by Saint John’s

ANDERSON — Registrations are being accepted for Saint John’s next EMT Certification class, which will begin April 20. The class will meet from 6 to 10 p.m. two nights a week at Saint John’s.

Tim Layton will be the instructor. For more information and an application, contact Kathi Wasilewski, R.N., at 646-8747.

Tuition includes CPR training, the textbook and other class materials. Following successful completion of the course, program graduates are eligible for the State of Indiana Certification Examination and the National EMT Registry Examination.

Application for the state certification is dependent upon passing this examination. This course is required to be a paramedic.



AHS Post Prom meeting scheduled

ANDERSON — Any interested parents are urged to attend a Post Prom meeting for Anderson High School on Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the school library.

Anderson’s Prom will be held May 8 this year at the Paramount, with Post Prom taking place at Cooper’s Sport Bowl.
