Norman H. Aldridge

April 8, 1938 - Aug. 24, 2009

ELKHORN, Neb. — Former Elwood resident Norman H. Aldridge, 71, Elkhorn, died Aug. 24, 2009, in Elkhorn.

He served with the U.S. Army from 1961-1963.

Survivors include his wife, Pam Nance Aldridge; and three sons, Derek Aldridge, Clinton (Mindy) Aldridge and Keith Aldridge.

Service 11 a.m. Saturday at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood. Burial in Sunset Memorial Park, Elwood.

Visitation 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday.



Frances J. Biddle

April 24, 1926 - Aug. 26, 2009

ANDERSON — Frances J. Biddle, 83, Anderson, died Aug. 26, 2009, at Countryside Manor.

Survivors include her son, Robert L. (Becky) Biddle Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Biddle Sr.

Service noon Monday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, Anderson. Burial in East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation one hour before service.

Memorials to the Madison County Humane Society.



Velta R. Bradford

ANDERSON — Velta R. “Rea” Bradford, 77, Anderson, died Aug. 27, 2009, at her residence.

Arrangements are pending at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home.



Mark A. Jones

April 19, 1957 - Aug. 26, 2009

ALEXANDRIA — Mark A. Jones, 52, Alexandria, died Aug. 26, 2009, at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis.

He was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant serving in Desert Storm.

Survivors include his wife, Rosann (Sutton) Lambert Jones; son, Greg (Connie) Jones; daughter, Mary (Andrew LeMarte) Jones; and two stepsons, Eric Lambert and Chris (Tara Turner) Lambert.

Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elwood. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Elwood.

Visitation 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood.

Memorial contributions to St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund.



Jerry W. Nicholas

Nov. 18, 1945 - Aug. 26, 2009

SPICELAND — Jerry W. Nicholas, 63, of Spiceland, died unexpectedly Aug. 26, 2009, at his residence.

He served in the United States Marine Corps.

Survivors include his wife, Terri Nicholas; daughter, Michelle (fiancé, Donal Matheny) of Pendleton; son, Larry (partner, Chris Jenkins) Nicholas; stepdaughter, Brandi Carnes; and two stepsons, Matthew Carnes and Alex Carnes.

Service 11 a.m. Monday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, New Castle. Burial in South Mound Cemetery - West Lawn Addition.

Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials to Knightstown American Legion Honor Guard.



Rex Swift

May 14, 1936 - July 30, 2009

POLK CITY, Fla. — Former Alexandria resident Rex Swift, 73, Polk City, died at his home July 30, 2009.

Survivors include his five children, Lisa, Allen, Julie, Cindy and Sam.  

Service 11 a.m. Saturday at Park View Cemetery in Alexandria.

Arrangements handled by Mid Florida Cremation In Haines City, Fla.



Americus K. Williamson

Aug. 25, 2009 - Aug. 25, 2009

ANDERSON — Americus Kole Williamson, infant daughter of Jylea Cook and Jeffrey Williamson, died Aug. 25, 2009.

Other survivors include two brothers, Zachariah and Alvin Williamson.

Celebration of Life service Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St.
