Hancock County man arrested for cultivating marijuana
WILKINSON — A Hancock County man was arrested Wednesday for cultivating marijuana, according to Sgt. Mike Burns of the of the Indiana State Police Pendleton District.
James R. Carlton, 53 of Wilkinson, was arrested and taken to the Hancock County Jail. He has been charged with a felony count of cultivating marijuana and one county of possession of paraphernalia.
Members of the Indiana State Police Marijuana Eradication Unit and the Hancock County Drug Task Force went to Carlton’s home at 6644 N. Indiana 109 in Wilkinson in reference to marijuana growing behind his home. A search revealed 12 cultivated marijuana plants, paraphernalia and processed marijuana.
