ACS votes not to renew administrator’s contract

ANDERSON, Ind. — At a special meeting last night, the Anderson Community School Board voted not to renew the administration contract for Anderson High School assistant principal Jennette Harris.

ACS superintendent Felix Chow said Harris’ contract as assistant principal will end in June.

However, he said if Harris wants she’s “guaranteed” a teaching position in her area of focus, which is high school English.

He said she hasn’t indicated whether she intends to do that yet.

Chow said the board is required to inform administrators whether their contract is renewed by Feb. 1. If not, they’re automatically extended.

The Herald Bulletin will continue to update this story.
