A 23-year-old Anderson man faces a felony charge of sexual misconduct after he was discovered nearly naked inside a 15-year-old girl’s bedroom.
Kevin M. Parsons was expected to make an initial court appearance today before Madison County Magistrate Stephen Clase on a single count of sexual misconduct with a minor, a Class B felony punishable by six to 20 years in prison.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the charge, the girl’s stepfather discovered Parsons inside the girl’s bedroom shortly after 1 a.m. today and called the Madison County sheriff’s department.
The father got Parson’s Alabama ID card, but Parsons fled the home in the 500 block of County Road 300 North out the bedroom window. Parsons was gone when police arrived.
The teen girl told police that ID card was the same person she had consensual sex with, according to court records.
The girl’s brother told police he let Parsons into the home along with two other friends.
During police questioning, Parson admitted to having consensual sex with the teen and knowing she was 15 years old. It wasn’t clear in the court papers how officers caught Parsons.
He is being held in the Madison County Jail on $20,000 bond.
